Not sure if this is too early but here it is!

Potentially an early wildcard depending on how far teams go in Europe.

Points per M they are probably all in the top 5 in the league... 2 issues with that is you're immediately ruling out their attacking returns, but mostly- it is quite likely that there will be match postponements this season... If you have 3 liverpool players in one position , you'll be badly stuck for players...At least if only 2 def you'll likely have 1 other premium, 1 medium, and then 1 transfer to have your back 3... I'm going all out for GW 1, with nothing on the bench...But have it set so in 3 GWs I'll have pretty much my team for the season (keeping one of Aubameyang Salah and Mane will be my big decision)... Probably the 1st season I'm planning to have my 1st 2 subs players that I'd happily have in my team...

Aaron Connolly looks to be number 7 this season judging by his insta. Only 5.5 if he starts most weeks could be good value with lack of options at that price

Very interested in Newcastle attack now they have got a solid finisher in C.Wilson.

Had Almiron for a good stretch last year and he always looked dangerous. I know AMS impressed in the final run of the league.

Comparing the two what do you guys think?

In regards Everton from a fan perspective it's going to be an interesting season. But unfortunately I fully expect James and Allen to get injured and for us to be back with Tom Davies and Siggy :pac:

FPL wise. I'm not looking at much Everton players yet. Especially with the opening away to Spurs. Tends to be a 1-1 or low scoring game.

If I was feeling risky I suppose I would have James.

As much as I love Digne in FPL he's just not an option right now. There's to many potential points of failure for me :

- Priced higher than expected
- Likely to be booked
- Likely to concede with Pickford in goal
- Potentially on less set pieces with James

Leeds have a tough run (would you be getting in a player mid-season if they'd Liverpool, SU (away), Man City and Wolves in their next 4).

Also, Championship stats aren't as impressive.

Had a look at this when I saw this post yesterday.

My front 3 + PEA are pretty much set in stone.

With that in mind I put Robbo and VVD into my team(already had TAA).
The only way I can see it working is 4-3-3.

Can't seem to fit in 4th mid higher than 5.5 that I think will outscore my rotating 4.5 defenders.
If I go with 1 x 4.0 def., then I could get JWP or Pereira(WBA) for 6.0 to go 3-4-3.

I won't be doing it from GW1, but it's possible I'll revisit this when I play my WC, as I'll be getting a 4.0 GK which would give me 6.5 to spend on 4th mid.

A 5.5m on pens is an attractive asset imo

Anyone else finding that over the week you end up talking yourself more out of players than into players.

For example ASM had a lower Points Per Match then Shelvey last year.

Yeah I’d have no problem going triple and would have no problem being patient. Just don’t think I’ll do it now. Although I’d enjoy the mental stress part of it.

A top 7 finish wouldn’t surprise me. They’ll need to click quickly and avoid injuries though.

Not sure if they’ll have a clear FPL option, apart from Digne, but I expect good overall team performances.

Edit - what I also really like about Everton and Wolves this season is no European football. Think that will be a great benefit to both teams.

I think they’ll be much tighter this year and I just liked the look of Bissouma.

Been there a couple of years. Just turned 24. They paid about £15 million for him as a 21 year old and I’ve heard Potter saying good things about him. Think it’s a big year for him.

Think he’ll carry more of a point scoring threat than the other 4.5m‘s whilst also getting his minutes. It looks like he’s not afraid to have a pop either which I like. He’s more dynamic than their other two options, imo, and I think Stephens’s days are numbered. Also, as a possession side I just think he’ll have more chances to get forward.

It’s not like he has much competition in that 4.5m bracket.

Well, if you’re doing it, you would need to be accepting that they won’t have a nice fixture every week and will eventually play away to good teams also.

Strategies like that are only really effective if you believe in them enough to see them through. You don’t want to making a rake of defensive transfers so if this strategy is one that will lead to you making more transfers, then it probably won’t improve your chances.

Just incase I’m giving across incorrect levels of belief in this strategy, none of my drafts have actually had 3 from the same team in them. So it’s clear that I do not love a defence to that level yet.
