Obviously we're still waiting on fixtures, but no harm in throwing this thread up now

My first semi-serious draft:

Ryan (Button)
TAA Doherty Vinagre (Dallas, 4.0)
KdB Son Pulisic Greenwood (4.5)
Ings Jimenez Antonio

.5 in the bank so Ings or Jimenez could become Martial. Obviously missing some big hitters but overall it doesn't feel bad to me. Kdb auto captain for many games. Martial (should I get him) another good captain option especially for home games. TAA/Son/Pulisic/Jimi etc. might cover the odd one. No Bruno despite me being adamant I'd get him! Though Martial + Greenwood definitely represent better value I think. Thoughts appreciated

I don’t think I would have anymore than Trent in my team for the first few GWs if the Manchester clubs were actually playing so that’s the way I’m looking at it for now. Was also thinking Mané/Salah to Rashford/Greenwood saves a small fortune and allows you to upgrade in different areas i.e 4.5 def to Robertson/ 6.0 forward to Ings/Jimenez

Really really like that defense - be very tempting to go 5 at the back some weeks. If Shaw plays he should be great value.

I too have Davies, but Rose back has me a small bit worried - hopefully Bavies will get the league with Rose for the cups - as their schedule is shocking

Antsy about leaving Aubamayang out of GW1 and also looks tricky to bring in a City midfielder early on. I guess my only route to that is to dump Vardy for a much cheaper option, as I'm kind of settled on Werner.

Have 1 mill ITB with that draft to upgrade Alli to Son if I don’t use in defence. Happy enough with the spread of players. Only issue is the 4.5 forward angle, would prefer to get a starter in there. Could do Ings & 4.5 —-> Adams & DCL but is Adams nailed?? Could just be upgrading a 4.5 mill sub to a 6 mill sub? Thoughts

That's a ridiculously expensive bench. Downgrade all of them, and get yourself something expensive (Salah/Mane/TAA/Aubumyang/Werner/Kane)

Initially to give them a miss. Concentrate more on sub-10m options. Hoping I can hang on to my WC til around gw9 or so. I certainly don't see myself going the whole season without some of the names you mentioned. My only initial transfer thoughts would be Auba and either Soucek or 4.5 mid to 2 mids in the 7.5 to 8.5 range, probably for gw3. We can’t be certain on Doherty or Davies but I think Davies is a player José likes
Tierney as a wing back appeals too me but he might start left of the 3 and Brewster won’t be an option without a loan move I feel. Anyone see any flaws in those 3 moves?
