Well, one of the things that will be really great, you know the word experience is still good. I always say talent is more important than experience. I’ve always said that. But the word experience is a very important word. It’s an — a very important meaning. I never did this before. I never slept over in Washington. I was in Washington, I think, 17 times. All of a sudden, I’m president of the United States. You know the story. I’m riding down Pennsylvania Avenue with our First Lady and I say, ‘This is great. But I didn’t know very many people in Washington. It wasn’t my thing. I was from Manhattan, from New York. Now I know everybody, and I have great people in the administration.”

He reminds me of psych patients I used to work with who would have all the other psychiatric believing he knew more than the consultants. I I think it's a useful analogy for the majority of his supporters.

What harsh realities has Trump suffered? Born with a silver spoon in his mouth and bailed out any time he got himself into trouble. They are worlds apart, both in character and experience.

He doesn't couch his message in that slimey gloss people have become tired of since Obama and the Clintons - he tells it like it is. Pence is similar in that regard, actually. It's refreshing. It also keeps plenty of journalists in a job. Not that they tend to show any gratitude. Without Trump...they would be all learning to code. You get the impression that they value character, as opposed to style over substance. That has been a traditional trait of republican candidates, although I would say Reagan was one of the very few to have both.
