It's almost just as difficult to answer "who's is the last CB to come to England from Seria A and fail". Having real trouble thinking of any high-profile CB's that came from Italy over the past 15 years or so...

Just look at the replies to anything the club tweets these days, its an absolute embarrassment, that and the FSG out types . If they can't be happy after the last couple of seasons they never will be. The argument is you buy from a position of strength and maybe keep winning, yeah all good if its possible but it guarantees you nothing, just like not buying and going with what we have guarantees nothing either but certainly doesn't guarantee failure like some seem to think it does.

~Rebel~ wrote: » Good shouts. Ranocchia probably did about as expected really, didn't exactly come with any fanfare, was just being loaned from team to team by Inter at that stage. I like Rudiger, he's the best they have back there I think. As with all their defenders (and keepers), he's had a rough year this year with Frank coaching one of the most exposed defenses in the Prem. Chelsea were caught on the break more times than any other team in the entire league this season, which is a fairly shocking indictment of their setup in midfield. It's an interesting one though, for a country so historically reknowned for quality defensive players, very few of the high profile ones ever make their way to England. Weirdly few players come from Serie A to the Prem in general really, in comparison to the other top leagues imports.
Hansi Flick, Manager of @FCBayern, won‘t stop @Thiago6 for a transfer to @LFC . Flick: „Thiago played in Spain for FC Barcelona and in the Bundesliga for FC Bayern. If he might want to try the step into Premier League, I totally understand that
