Skoda are also putting a 2 yer warranty on it. Took it for a drive and all felt really good. I’ll be averaging about 25000 kms a year. Any thoughts on the reliability off these cars. Thanks.

If a lot of Taxi drivers in Dublin use Skoda Octavia and Superb, says a lot. Do you research online, forums etc. Ive an Octavia, 2 year warranty also, no issues with it, great car and brand. Have you a link to the Superb you are looking at? 100k , 3 yr old car, a little high for a diesel

Okay maybe handing in the Sportline is tidier but not much in it. The Skoda can suffer from squeaks and rattles - especially if it has a sunroof which drove me mad, but in general they are a great car and 24k is good value. That car would have been about double that price new. The two year Skoda warranty is great and worth a lot. I’d much rather the Skoda over the old model A6 or 520d too unless they were v special spec’s cars. The A6 especially just isn’t as nice to be in or to drive and the dash / interior is quite old fashioned now Skoda boot is bigger than everything bar E class estate, it has great rear legroom but overall it’s smaller than the V90 eg the seat base in the Volvo are more substantial and cabin is wider. Not sure I read the comment right but the V90 is easily as spacious as either the 5 series or A6 and the back seat is designed for three passengers where as the BMW especially is v uncomfortable in the high middle back seat.

V90 is a different class altogether from the Skoda, but you do sacrifice space in the book compared to the A6, 5 series and Superb where they all have bigger boot capacity if that is part of the buying equation. V90 is more 3 series luggage capacity wise, but it makes up for it in spec, looks and passenager space which are all top notch. Superb is a great all rounder but sometimes I see people losing sight of themselves with how good they are. I would take a passat estate over one personally
