Thanks for posting. It's worrying with only 3 weeks to go there has been no letter confirming exam number/ venue details for the August sitting. Considering that this period is where we are all in the swing of intense study it would be really good if there was some sort of communication as to what is planned for the next few weeks at least. I had a quick look over the "guidelines" they have not mentioned anything in relation to exam settings.

They can't cancel these exams, I wouldn't worry. There's people who are starting training contracts in September that NEED to be able to sit these exams to complete their FE1s. Cancelling or rescheduling isn't an option.

There might be some lobbying efforts going on behind the scenes from big firms that need their new cohort of trainees - whether the exams happen online or offline is the bigger question.

do people not think online is the only viable option at this stage? With those guidelines and the rising cases surely the law society will have to follow in universities shoes and adapt online

Its almost too late at this stage to change course. I'm going on annual leave for the next three weeks for these exams. If they were to change format to online it would require giving students more notice to prepare just like the Bar did and the CAI.

Too late? They cancelled tort the day before, three days after guidelines were issued. I wouldn’t put anything past them.

Rising cases? We've been sub-40 cases for months and sub-10 deaths.

That was in March when they could viably do so. These 2 exams, particularly Tort has to be held for those starting training contracts in a matter of weeks.

Guys I would recommend putting any idea that they exams might be cancelled completely out of your head. It doesn't do you any good. It just distracts from your study and when they ultimately do go ahead all that worrying will have been for nothing.

Get the heads down, it's getting close to cram time
