Ever since somebody on here pointed out that Paul DiResta says meejum tyre, I can't stop laughing at it. I'm watching FP2 and it's hilarious

Very wet for the F3 feature race

Edit: rain is so bad you can't see the cars and race has been red flagged just over half way through.

Start of FP3 delayed indefinitely. Likely to be cancelled altogether.

Cancelled, let's see if they try qualifying. Sunday morning will still be wet, but should dry up

Now might become a classic as track is drying but rain might start anytime again

Raining again and seems quite heavy on an already wet track. Would love to see a wet qualy but suspect they'll hold off until tomorrow

Has F1 ever used those heat blowers used in Nascar/IndyCar for the water?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,033 ✭✭✭bennyx_o

Start delayed. With more rain on the way I think it'll be tomorrow before we see any action on track

No because the application is different, IndyCar uses them on ovals as humid spots are dangerous. And as long as it rains they are pointless.

Lashing down there now. Can't see anything happening here.

    Track is where "Knittelfeld" is.

I guess we are likely looking at Qualifying tomorrow morning. Weather forecast says no chance of rain then.

Just let the grid be decided by FP2 - I can't listen to anymore of that arrogant prat Ted Kravitz. :D

I love the shade of grass there. A nice rich green.

FP2 it is for the grid then. Qualifying tomorrow does not interest me.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

I miss the times when they used to race in this weather and let the drivers earn their salaries.

Alonso or Jenson would not have had a problem racing or qualifying with some rain.

Its nothing to do with drivers. Its actually safety. The medical chopper currently cannot safely clear the mountains to make it to Graz. If a driver needed to get to hospital they'd just be stuck on the track.

I’m pleasantly shocked. Really looked wet when safety car was circulating.

Wonder how long this will last...

This could be eventful with everyone on track to get a time on the board

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,093 ✭✭✭✭pjohnson

Nice of Grosjean to get completely off track to avoid slowing Vettel :pac:
