Nails on a blackboard wouldn’t be half as bad. Hands down one of the most overhyped and overrated musical offerings that this country has ever produced. All of his cheesy songs sound the same. I bet they play his stuff in Guantanamo bay.

I don't really give a toss about his music it is easily ignored...id be more worried about the other things surrounding him tbh...

Listening to the Once album right now, prompted by this thread. Loved the movie and the soundtrack.

I wouldn't have any difficulty ignoring him if he annoyed me - which he doesn't.

I think it's funny the way it's phrased with the woman Marketa Irglova. If she came forward and said she was groomed then the reliable crew of boards.ie posters would be along to tell everyone why she's wrong (too long ago, wrong way to talk about it, her word against his, diminishes "real" sexual assault etc.) and its completely wrong to blacken the name of an innocent man. I have no idea what happened BTW.

The Commitments and Once are 2 very good Irish movies in fairness.
I didn’t realise the polish bird in once was so young, or that he had known her since long before they made the movie. Hadn’t even heard of her until that film.

And, to be honest, even if a relationship only started when she turned 18, he knew her from when she was 12 (and he was in his 30s at the beginning) so it’s still gross. Woodie Allen and Soon Yi Previn type gross.

Just to point out that she's Czech, not Polish. Don't think anybody heard of her before the film.
