Last years U20 football final on TG4 tonight at 8

I'm a Munster man and always followed Cork once Clare and Limerick were out. I remember shouting in delight as a 9 year old in 1990 when Cork did the double. I was Teddy McCarthy in Hurling and Tony Nation in football. I loved the verve and excitement and positivity around the way Cork played hurling. I liked the sportsmanship too of the supporters. Hated Meath and their dour,ugliness.
Cork people were never snide or condescending after a win like other counties that start with the letter 'T'.
Dalys not a great writer. His articles are full of drivel and the latest one about Clares antics on holidays was just rubbish that shouldn't be printed. Youd swear they were hell raisers for driving jet skis and throwing paper balls at fish..please.
However Daly has a certain radar. He can pick up passion and drive and Cork lack abit of that as collective right now. The cuteness is gone too. Like against Limerick in 2018...are you telling me that somebody couldn't feign an I jury to break Limericks momentum?? That's where i get cross at the leadership amongst the players.. Cork will recover and recover 'Bigly' as the man would say. It's just the recovery is being delayed by unwillingness to get down and dirty and physical. Come down to our level and when you do your innate skills will win out .Until that happens there'll be more capitulation to bad Kilkenny teams that just hang in there hoping that their desire and hard work gets them home.

the biggest problem at the moment in cork hurling is the clubs are not producing enough players of a high quality , the cork bench especially in terms of forwards on the bench is a huge problem , back in 2013 it was the backs that were weak ,

the balance of the squads are poor dispite having some outstanding individual players , contrast to the teams of 1990 either football or hurling not one player was out of place or found wanting on either panel , that is not the case now

If we had the Rock and Ronan Curran playing in this era we more likely have won 1, if not 2 AIs, past 3 years.

We badly lack a FB and CB. It's been killing us past few years.

We possibly have best 15 hurlers, but physically we are one of worst counties of the big 8, if not the worst.

Never heard of him. Brendan, a brother played senior. Kevin captioned the Cork minors to All Ire success. Blackrock had a brilliant selection during the 70s.

Watching it now; he comes across as having regrets about the strike(s) but wasn't quite able to come out and say it.
I think Cork people supported them for the first strike in 2002 but then when they went on strike again in 2007 and 2009 people just got sick of them (I know I did anyway).
