For sure, my favorite BMW alloy. And they really suit the m sport e39 and e38.

Seen a 99 Peugeot 206 on the road today looking in pretty good shape to be fair. It got me thinking. The design of that was well ahead of it's time and still looks well today. I think recent Fiestas in particular borrowed a lot from it's kinda hatchback Coupé shape. While below the cover the car might not have held together all that well, I have to say it's still a pretty looking cover 21 years later.

Quick question.......I removed the N plates last week and the front one came off fine. The rear one, however, left a big red N on the glass which is manky looking. I'm going to try remove it later today. Anyone any tips for getting it off? I'd prefer not to have to scrape if possible, I was thinking of using rubbing alcohol, maybe?

Newspaper and vinegar, glue and tar remover, Stanley blade in a holder or not if you have a steady hand, be extra careful of heat lines on the glass, many options there.
Give a good clean too.

You will see when fogged up the marks will still be there front and back.

Window cleaner and flat of a Stanley blade.

Don’t touch your heated windscreen wires with the blade or you might break them.

Nail varnish remover on a cloth would probably do it too.

Use heat too or do it on a day like today when it will be soft. If you get it hot/soft enough you shouldn't have to use a blade only a good cleaning product or label remover and elbow grease.

HG sticker remover will make light work of this job when it comes to removing residue. If part of the plate is still on the glass use a hairdryer or heat gun to remove it followed by sticker remover.

Be careful on the back window due to the heating element. I would advise against using blades on this.

Very scarce, sought after and pricey these days.

Auld fella neighbour of mine has a mint navy 3dr 2.0hdi 110 phase 2 completely standard and unabused. He's had it since it was near new and wouldn't part with it for love nor money. Great cars.

The phase 2 was such a neat looking car, especially when they dressed them up towards the end.

Peugeot made a lovely job of the 205 and 405 on their facelifts as well.

Used to love the half leather interior that the later ones got, and fake wood dash etc. They were/are a very smart little car. Wouldn’t mind having a go of one for a while. They weren’t even that bad were they?

Driving this evening got the ‘loss of pressure right rear tyre’ message when I checked there was indeed a loss of pressure along with a nice nail in the centre of the thread

I am two weeks off having the car a year and that’s the third puncture. Previous to that I had one puncture in about 5 years.

Happened me where 2 new tyre over 2 weeks destroyed, previous puncture 10 year previous, then another in a new tyre and destroyed 2.

2 of these exploded at speed.

Are s lines much more expensive than SEs?
I remember a 2016 a6 avant retailing for 23k last November.

The fact it has different fonts on the front and back reg plates annoys my OCD. They should have spotted it. Apart from that it looks the business!

They're a little more expensive alright, but the mileage is quite low also which might explain difference as I cant see mileage on the one on IG.

Or the rear, although that looks like it might be the original. The shut lines around the boot are off but it could be that way from factory too.

I visited this dealer recently, the premises and sales people did not inspire confidence. I don't know where they take their car photos but it's definitely not on site. Go in with your eyes open is my advice.

Folks I've NCT in the morn and can I sh1te find the VLC cert. I can't recall in all the tests I've done if it was ever asked for or looked at. Will it be an issue?

Worst case they won't give the cert but say nothing, have your licence out and you should be fine.
