FG to just do nothing for the next 5 years.

It seems FG will be very happy to just sit on their hands for 5 years. Would FG voters be happy with this, as it means all those FG votes mean nothing, and do nothing.

Having been in power for 9 years, they did nothing, people have no homes, people still on trollies.

FG may have given some of their rich buddies some tax breaks.

But other than that, they did what FG do best, are their poor hands not numb by now.

No you are not.
You are defending it and throwing in whataboutery.
What Varadkar says isn't cancelled out by what others say. This has been pointed out to you time and again.
You are building it up, (the outrage) so it gives you more ability to tear it down as being over the top.
People are giving their opinion on what Varadkar says and you might disagree, I honestly can't say, but either way you are here to close it down and nothing more.

No fury and outrage here, it was a poor interview for the leader of the country though.

He was like someone who is finishing up in a job and is just putting in the bare minimum until the last day comes.

From a man who has led the country into the worst trolley crisis in hospitals ever and homelessness at the highest level anyway, for him to use Spin Fein is very funny to be fair.

He still does not get the fact, abusing Sinn Fein at every opportunity wont work anymore. The youth and older generations are starting to can see him for what he is

I am really out of touch, I missed all mention of "Spin Fein" by the Taoiseach.

I find it funny and amusing, and we all need something to cheer us up these days.

Leadership isn't all doom and gloom, whinging and complaining, sometimes it is about a better future or the light at the end of the tunnel and a little bit of humour - whether Spin Fein or Mean Girls - helps an awful lot with that. Those who want to wallow in misery can continue to do so.

It will then be back to our elected representatives to come up with a Government. It's a very important, and timely, reminder of what democracy means for every citizen.

Time for SF to take off the stabilisers and show their support for the Republic.

Interesting to hear Ryan on SF. He thought in his talks that they were serious about going into government and is willing to talk to them again.

I believe the next move in that scenario will be a bid by Martin to put together a government with FG backed by some Independents. Varadkar has apparently ruled out such an arrangement but he may change his tune if it looks like the alternative is an FF+SF+whoever deal.

I presume Varadkar would be within his rights at that point to ask for a dissolution of the Dail but I'm not sure if MDH is constitutionally obliged to grant his wish.

Very poor taste. He's making light of an attack were people were killed. The political leader of Ireland is making light of a global pandemic were people have died, for fun as you say, to lighten things up. Completely different :rolleyes: To be fair it is a bit. One is drunk and got a photo from inside a shop spread around the other is the taoiseach giving an address to the nation.
Be honest if Sinn Fein or anyone threatening Fine Gael in the polls gave a speech on the troubles, the economy, farming emissions, the weather and worked in lines from films to win a bet or for fun you'd be creating an outrage thread for each syllable.
