Pubs are struggling to due changes in people's lifestyles but they will always be there. They have adapted over the years and become places where you can get a decent meal. Years ago pubs served at best a rotten carvery and maybe toasted sandwiches in a bag. Now they're better and smoke free. Irish people like to enjoy themselves too much for pubs to disappear entirely.
