Orchestra concert for Plants

Man Vs ManUre

So the Barcelona Philharmonic orchestra have played a concert to a theatre full of plants. Is this the biggest waste of time and effort in the history of humankind, in terms of everyone who arranged this, filled and emptied the theatre with the plants, the orchestra themselves for playing, me posting about it and you responding??

Musicians love to play music. What is the issue?

They have to practice daily anyway....so according you to its a waste everyday

Ok it’s a good practice session for the musicians I can accept that. But big effort went into placing these spectacular looking plants on almost every seat in the theatre. That was a complete waste of time.

They will live-stream it anyway. I suppose the plants are there to fill up seats and also:

Read a bit about it and the artist who inspired it. The photos looked amazing.

The event was curated by Spanish artist Eugenio Ampudia, who said he was inspired by nature during the lockdown.

He said, “I heard many more birds singing. And the plants in my garden and outside growing faster. And, without a doubt, I thought that maybe I could now relate in a much intimate way with people and nature.”

I don’t know about any of you, but for me, the birdsong has been one of the highlights of lockdown. I’ve never been able to appreciate it due to constant rushing.

Gifting The plants to the Healthcare Workers Is also a bit special. Maybe I’m the only one, but I really like the thinking behind this concert.
