Police Shooting USA. Rayshard Brooks.

Cops called because a guy was asleep in his car in the queue for a drive through.
Failed field sobriety test.
Tussled with cops.
Shot and killed.
Looks on the outset like another use of excessive Force by police, but there is so much more wrong with it.

One cop has been fired and the other is Put on leave.

Firing somebody that immediately and without due process is probably in a bid to quell the protests - (but it hasn’t) But it can’t be right, surely these matters need investigation, statements and the a just decision, which may well be dismissal / charges filed etc.

There is a big risk of the authorities in the USA actually losing their own police force if they don’t maintain the law and order and due process that everyone deserves. Has the cop in this instance actually violated the procedures That are given to him for arresting people? If a cop needs to be fired then fine, fire hundreds of them but only after due process.

RIP the victim, On his daughters birthday apparently.

So tell me, why did the cops in the Rayshard Brooks killing not shoot more tasers at him, they had six in total? Unless they decided, as has been suggested that he was out of range of the policeman's taser, ergo they too were out of range of his taser and thus he was not a real threat to them?

He fought the police, he was under arrest, he took one of their weapons......

Simple really, once you are under arrest you must comply with a lawful order.

If this is what people want sure then what's the point in laws and more so why even have a police force.....

One cop had emptied his taser already, the second cops taser was stolen by the perp.

With 13% of the population black people killed by police makes up 26% of the deaths.

What percentage of violent crimes are black people involved in, compared to white people?? Because police generally aren’t just shooting randomners.

A major issue in the US is the prevalence of guns in the general population. Gardaí can reasonably presume that someone stopped at a checkpoint does not have a gun nearby. Police in the US have to assume everyone is armed.

I have a major issue with police brutality.
But private gun ownership has a huge role to play in it.
But I don't believe it is race-driven as we're being told.

Just because two people of differing colour are involved in an incident, it doesn't mean it's about race.
