Getting a serious pain in the arse trying to catch the two rare pier fish. The shadows are way larger than Sea Bass and it even vibrates like I'm catching a huge fish but every time it's a goddamn Sea Bass!

Some spoilers about game mechanics so watch at your own peril:P

Summary points:
Talking to a villager

scores you postive points.

Villagers who've the lowests scores

will be most likely to leave but it's not a guarantee. Your bestie might ask to leave instead. Just a much lower chance of it happening.

Lying to villagers

is bad.You'll lose more friendship points than simply saying no.

Birthdays

the right present can make you much better friends. The wrong can do the exact opposite.

Better friends means

larger variety to villager interactions such as side quests, more elaborate conversations, better gifts and frame posters.

Furniture

is possibly overpowered. Furniture wil nearly always be happily received.

Fruit

is also seemingly overpowered. It will always suffice for a good birthday present.

A good way to get lower your points with a villager

Hit with the net and don't apologise. Or give them trash.

Dodge
