Cheating with same sex?

I read a thread on Reddit where a woman saying she was devastated that her boyfriend had cheated...with a guy. She'd been busy for work and sex became less and less so he started drifting away. Turns out he was a bisexual in the closet.

She basically was more devastated at the gay cheating than the cheating itself.

Would this attitude be common amongst women? Would you feel worse if your boyfriend/husband cheated on you with a hot well hung stud? How could you ever compete

Why would you want to compete? Cheating is a horrible cowardly act which shows you have absolutely no respect or thought for your partner. Anyone who does that is not worth knowing. Why would you give someone like that a second chance.

I find the posters in the AH are all full of compassion and love ( like a family) so mr fig were all ears or should I say eyes

I didn't like it when a girlfriend played tonsil tennis with her female friend, she couldn't understand why it pissed me off. Not quite as extreme as cheating, but the element of it not counting because it's same-sex remains the same.

I’ve known girls who have similar attitudes. I think they know they’re wrong and that kinda stuff is testing the waters for what their partners will let them get away with, because women can hide behind “oh that’s just friends messing around.” I’d run a mile from these tbh. Nothing to do with competition, they’re just melts in my experience.

Complete and utter rubbish. There are plenty of people out there who are genuinely bisexual, and they get this sort of crap from both straight and gay people all the time. Or the other myth, that bi people are selfish, and are serial cheaters. Both stereotypes and both damaging to bisexuals who are loyal and monogamous to their partners of either sex.

But to answer the OP’s question: cheating is cheating, and unless it is an open relationship with clear boundaries, it is simply wrong. It shouldn’t matter what sex the cheater is doing the cheating with.

If I was in a relationship with a girl and she cheated with another man, it would be shocking (otherwise I wouldn't have been in a relationship with them, trustworthy etc)

But the shock of a girl cheating with another girl would be several magnitudes higher.

They wouldn't be the same at all, and I'd imagine that's the same for just about everyone else.

Cheating is cheating, simple as. The sex's involved make no difference, unless as pointed out above, it's an open relationship with clear boundaries.

Thinking back (all them years) to the last relationship I had, I used to imagine what would happen if she and SuperHotFriend A started kissing (they always came close, never did though, teases). In my head it obviously went well, with me joining in and it all ending up in one of those unbelievable but it did happen stories. But when I thought about it once the hornyness left, I don't think I could.

Like, I've been in relationships where she deliberately or daringly kissed her friend knowing what it would do, but in a playful way (if that makes sense). I never once thought that the kiss was one of actual passion, rather deliberate prick teasing, it was done knowing that that's all it was. If it went further, I dunno. I think I might be too selfish, if that's the right word. If I was single, and they were single, and the menage a trois was intended, no problem. I've never been in the situation, so hard to know what I'd do.

I did turn down a foursome with 3 other girls once. It's both a huge regret, but also let me know that I probably won't ever cheat, if I didn't cheat then (she was in a different county). Well, I'm fairly confident it would have been. Have never been good a reading women...

Someone is shot in the head, it's terrible, it's shocking, it's murder.

Someone who is skinned alive, disemboweled and then fed to starving children is also murder. But it'll hit you harder, that's for sure

So yeah, cheating is cheating. But her cheating with your own son ain't the same, and neither is some completely out of nowhere lesbianism/homosexuality.

Ahh yeah....most men I know would jump at the opportunity to cheat ... wives don't wanna hear about it, but there seems to be a cut off at some stage..over 40?? Where they start wanting to know about it...maybe they start getting sick of the hubby??
Swings and roundabouts. Alot of the time there is the leader and follower...sheepdog and sheep..fox and chicken...idol and idolotress/idoloter. Rare enough you have equal partners. When you have equal partners you'd better watch out if you cheat..coz it could be sinara.

It's also a lot to do with how good the relationship is at the time the opportunity "arises" so to speak. If you are in a sh1te marriage for years it's a very different test than a relationship where you are in love and at it like rabbits.
