Assistant Secretary Tracey Conroy writing to Minister Harris trying to put the brakes on him delivering the modular cath lab. Who are these people???? Is this the same little un-elected, unaccountable cabal that muddied the water for Herrity prior to him writing his sh1tty little flawed report???

So after 8 years campaigning for 24/7, we're about to get to 12/7......

50% coverage from march 18. Yippee !!
The important bit is that it is available Saturday and Sunday. This is a big break through even if only for 12 hour days. The resistance to it has been enormous.
Still a disgrace.
I agree that's it's progress but it'd still a disgrace that we are only this far in the process
I agree.
would give you a bit of hope for the airport, maybe we ll get half a runway or something now!
There's no yippee about this announcement. The government continues to sell the people in this region short.
you may need to adjust your sarcasm radar.
Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill supposed to be publishing the long-awaited 2019 commissioned national review of cardiac services in the southeast "shortly after" she returns from the ministerial St Patrick's Day visits…………….tick, tock……….
I dont mean to be rude, but I cannot understaand why anyone wants a depatmental report published. Especially given its author. Let it rot with that disgusting Herity Report.
You're not being rude, I agree with your point, I just want this governments hypocrisy and double-standards out in the open where we can see it and challenge it. This was commissioned when Simon Harris was Health Minister if I'm not mistaken.

Well that's unexpected, very welcome, but still unexpected (in my eyes)
That is great news and very welcome, it would be nice to have a timeline on delivery.
It would also make you wonder if there were serious political opposition to this over the years and if previous reports were flawed etc.
So, for the cost of €600k over the past decade, they held the line on preventing this service from coming online.
Welcome — but what an incredible disgrace. I think particularly of the people whose lives have been lost or impaired by those who actively prevented this service from being put in place. At the top deck of Irish politics, something very weird and dark went on here.
Now, in a country that spends almost €15bn on capital projects each year, when will the endlessly delayed airport, university, port, and road investments finally be made?
