I have to attend the Pre-term Surveillance Clinic on 25th May due to cervical treatments over the last number of years. I'm so nervous, I'd love him with me.

Orange369 wrote: » Aahh you are nearly there! Have you been scheduled for induction? How the baby got in there is meant to be the most effective lol. I hear pineapples dates help soften cervix too but honestly I think baby will just coming when he or she is ready. I am 38+2 myself now

bee06 wrote: » This is true! I spent hours on the bloody ball the first time and had to be induced. Drank so much raspberry leaf tea etc. 2nd time, I had no time to do anything because my 2 year old tried to push me off the ball and wanted to drink all the tea. 2nd baby came 3 days early.
Orange369 wrote: » Lol I feel like you now! I have a 19 month old so it's tough going being so pregnant and looking after her all day long too. When are you due?
bee06 wrote: » I’m only popping in. I had my baby 8 weeks ago. It’s so hard being heavily pregnant with a toddler especially when you’re stuck in the house all the time. Best of luck for the next few weeks.
Orange369 wrote: » Ah huge congrats! How is your baby doing? I'd Say the 8 weeks have gone past in a flash too.. Oh its so tough being stuck in much, feel sorry for my toddler

Fully aware of the restrictions, however how does it work from a practical sense. i will drive her in, get her to the door, hand over the bag etc....then what? Do i just wait in the car, who contacts me etc? Any experience much appreciated.
Orange369 wrote: » The Coombe is the same, only partners are allowed in for the actual labour ward part otherwise no visits or coming to any appointments:( so tough

Husband waited with me in A&E when they got porter from Maternity to bring a wheelchair up to me. I was wheeled into Maternity and asked for a urine sample and put on a CTG. I had to wait for a Dr to see how dilated I was. Husband waited in car for this part. Dr examined me and I was 7cm dilated so I was told my husband can come back in so I rang him and asked him to come in and bring the bags with him. Hope that helps a bit and best of luck!
