I was thinking that too but thought they would have revealed it at the end and not leave it till next season to reveal.

Ruth is loud and vulgar, but she's also fiercely intelligent and pragmatic; she's like the shouty, Missouri cousin of Boyd Crowder (though he was a quieter, more contemplative "villain").

I really had little love for the first 2 seasons, certainly not as much as others did. Don't get me wrong, I obviously enjoyed it - but I always found myself getting distracted, unlike with something like Better Call Saul for example.

But season 3 was a big step up for me!

And episode 9 was just an emotional rollercoaster of an episode. What a truly phenomenal portrayal and deserves all of the awards.

If Tom Pelphrey dosent get an Emmy for that performance it'll be a travesty. Nailed it.

Good season that got better as it went on. What happened in episode 9. I haven't got as angry watching a show in a long time. Absolutely heart breaking. And I hope the person that instigated it meets the most horrific end imaginable.

Great show, up there with Fargo and Mindhunter for me. It just slowly gets better as it goes along. Hopefully won't have to wait too long for season 4.

Yeah just thought that scene with the realtor was a bit ridiculous. S1 seems to be going at a hundred miles an hour so you end up with these kind of things which defy credibility.

Anyway think I'll take your advice and stick with it. It is an enjoyable watch and has many good points.

The Sopranos could have the same thing leveled at them with Richie Apprile. With a modest sized cast you have to keep things ticking over. I do somewhat agree with your last point, a bit random, at least to have it develop so quickly.

Always felt that was and is Marty's role in the whole piece. He is pragmatic and analytical to a fault, every decision he makes has a mathematical foundation, its calculated, it's cold, and it's all for the good (as best as he can figure) of his family. I love how Bateman plays it.

I have not felt a pain in my soul watching any performance since Stephen Graham in The Virutes last year. That changed last night, probably the most gut punching portrayal of mental illness I've ever seen. The only one I can think of that came close was Peter Greene in the movie Clean,Shaven. Tom Pelphrey had me going from annoyance at him to being virtually in tears, a monumental turn from him.

My favourite season so far, fcuking loving it and dying for more.

Performance of the season was without doubt the character of Ben, Wendy’s brother..his portrayal of a man suffering with bipolar was very very moving. Powerful stuff!

I like Tuth, but find that sometimes they push her character a bit too much..kind of need to tone it down a little..
