I honestly thought this was a joke when I seen the thread earlier and then I seen it for real.

I always roll my eyes a bit when somebody says or does something stupid and everybody starts demanding that they be fired for a mistake. This however is one of those times where multiple people at RTE thought that this would be a good idea. Surely the people who agreed to put this out are not fit for purpose.

I do believe in public broadcasting. RTE do a good job on elections and national events. News etc but they still over pay their " stars " and peddle this ****. They don't realize that people get tired of the likes of Thomas.

To be honest I can't believe how utterly stupid and detached RTE with this one, even for them it's bad.

If it was maybe say prime time doing some interviews with those who finding the isolation hard, things they are doing to help keep sane etc it wouldn't be bad

But RTE taking this and making a cringey play on one of their own shows as if it's something trivial along with just sticking cameras into participants homes is just unbelievably crass and disgusting

Of course there detached, looks at there line up of presenters.
Only one I can remotely relate to is Tommy Tiernan.

Every single host is so awfully posh and from the south side. Don't get me wrong, it seems like RTE have a internal struggle with employing people who are real life experiences and charm apposed put on accents to much make up and not enough ability to relate to people only of a certain class based on the fact they were and most likely are privately educated.

Katherine Thomas went to Kings Hospital...
