That wouldnt be true of farmers. By their nature most farms are rural and hence connection costs for 3ph are prohibitive. Im sure some have it but it would be a small minority.

The milking machine(and coolers) would generally be the biggest electric draw on a farm and they can run on single phase fine.

UK has removed BIK on EV's and removed the luxury >£40k tax. Means there should be strong sales there for the next few years, and hopefully some import bargains in around 2 years.

By that stage though, importing from the UK, will mean importing from outside the EU. So this will see more complications and VAT payment required.

That means a lot of SR+ and LR Model 3 will be sold, but not so much the Performance. Still good news for prospective EV buyers.

I think it excludes the LR as well. The price in the UK for the LR is £47990 after the £3500 grant, so it is technically above £50k RRP

True, for the sake of £1500 it would open up a few more sales. Having said that, their grant isnt massive anyway (£3500) so its not likely to affect sales that much for someone who is spending £50k... relative to our €10k grant/relief!

Technically our grant is only 5k though aint it as the other 5k is a VRT rebate?

Same difference really.... its €10k off the price to the consumer.

Good point. Will lead to the same result as in the Netherlands - vast majority of company car Tesla Model 3 will be the SR+

I don't think that will be a thing really, people will be travelling less so if anything fuel sales will go down.

You’re thinking about that too rationally! There’s no reason for people to be panic buying most of the stuff they are, but they’re doing it anyway. If people knew there was a big snowfall on the way, they’d be filling up, and I think they’re behaving much the same in this case. Let’s see though!

Things would have to get fairly biblical for things like food & fuel to go into short supply.

A Farmer out picking his carrots or potatoes is in no danger of being prohibited by the coronavirus. Granted there will be packaging & distribution involved in getting those carrots and potatoes to your local shop, but things like that will not stop. At worst case additional protocol will be put in place to mitigate against the spread, but these sort of things will not stop.

Fair point, I have a bad habit of giving people too much credit and forget a large portion of the population revert to making rash illogical decisions based on fear like some kind of animal when there's a public holiday much less a genuine crisis facing the country :pac:
