Serious looking car in a fairness, but i think it's in that limbo zone where it's still a cool car but it's not a "classic" classic car to command a crazy classic price but it's also a bit too old for it's original sale price to be giving any gravity to it's value.

There's only one on pistonheads, a 2008 for 26k sterling.

It strikes me as a car that would be bought for late teens, early twenties kind of money through the trade here but I could be way out.

Factory Rhd ones in aussie land wouldnt be too cheap to be fair $40-60k AUD. + shipping and VAT (if applicable) wouldnt be too far off what hes asking - but still, 50k? Not a hope.

A "Cat B" is not a repairable vehicle.
Any critical parts such as suspension, brakes, electronic sensors, etc cannot be used legally used on another vehicle.

I'm nearly sure anything that's Cat B is supposed to be crushed.

I think Cat A is instant crushing. Cat B can have parts salvaged, Cat C can be repaired. So the BMW is an expensive donor car, or track car.

Category B (unchanged)

Body shell should be crushed. Signifies extensive damage, although some parts are salvageable.

Should never re-appear on road, although reclaimed parts can be used in other road-going vehicles.
