Plenty of planes circling around waiting to land in Dublin. I only look at flight radar the odd time out of curiosity but that Frankfurt to Dublin flight had an odd flight path. Most circle around probably on auto pilot in nice overlapping circles.

Looks like he’s off to Manchester now. Missed approaches on 16 and 28.

Am up near RWY16 at the mo. Some incredible crosswind approaches being flown and remarkably few go-arounds given the conditions

Wind is similar to last Saturday, i.e. 200 to 210 degrees, typically 25 gusting to 38 knots.

Thought Luton was looking inactive on FR24 so checked website. easyJet has cancelled virtually everything from about 13.30 but Wizz and FR flights not so - yet.

Edit: easyJet has also cancelled everything at Bristol but all the other airlines flying.

Yup, easyJet really heavy with the cancellations, very strange.

It was interesting that the Delta flight to JFK had to use runway 28 for departure causing a significant delay yet the Aer Lingus going to San Francisco took off from 16 around the same time. Both using the A333. Very low load factor on Aer Lingus perhaps?

Doesn't help that the TAF gives the wind as from 200° until 4pm, switching to 230° at 5pm.

The wind went from 200° at 2pm to 250° about 20 minutes later once the squall passed through.

Today’s SFO was operated by GCF which is a 242T variant of the 330. Maybe that was a factor?!?

Anyone explain this?

FR126 DUB-Gatwick this evening aborted two landings at Gatwick and diverted to Manchester (EI-EKE).

Passengers already at the Gatwick gate for the return FR127 to DUB at 19.00 were informed of the diversion to MAN and then ushered back to the main waiting lounge and the latest is a 21.30 departure and the gate is now open. DUB arrivals show 23.00 and FR website shows DUB arrival at 22.55.

However, according to Flightradar FR127 (EI-DAO)departed Gatwick at 20.24 and is currently over Wales.

Error on the flightradar website. The flight due into Dublin in the next few minutes is the FR143. It looks like Flightradar just picked this up incorrectly.

Also, the next inbound Ryanair from Dublin to Gatwick (FR118) has already done a go-around and some holding. I think thats due to be the FR119, hopefully no further delays and everyone gets where they should be, safely.

Ryanair FR118 Dublin to Gatwick diverting somewhere towards the North. Fair dues, they tried for ages, just didnt work out this time though.

The (real) FR127 pax were sent to the gate again for a 22.00 departure. They're now being sent back to the lounge again. That 118 is now diverting somewhere.

I think the plane for the (real) FR127 passengers is on its way back to you. Its passing Birmingham now on its way back down from Manchester. Hopefully ye'll be away soon.

Just watching LGW right now, a Ryanair that I assume diverted to MAN earlier attempted to return to a LGW, just went around there on finals.

Two other BA flights struggling to get down at LGW, must be bad there...

No idea! Check out G-MIDO, a BA flight from TFS-LGW, went around in LGW, then diverted to BHX, went around there too! Now going for MAN by the looks of it !!
