I'd like to start a new thread for cars 500euro or less with an indate NCT. Also I added eco as using & maintaining these cars thus saving them from the scrapheap is defo ecofriendly. Preferably economical cars but any car will do! Let's have at it!

This has been taunting me the last while, originally for sale for €1150 then reduced to €750 and went off Donedeal, then it’s after coming back up for sale in the last few days for €550.

I don’t know if it’s after devolving a major fault or failing the NCT spectacularly.

Either way the asking isn’t that much, the tax is €300 per quarter, having owned one previously they are lovely old things to waft around in.

Someone please talk me into/out of buying it please.

Could not get rid of it, took €450 for it in the end. Not too bad as I bought it for €650 a year before. There was a full years NCT on mine too, only got two calls over a month advertisement. I loved wafting round in it.

Edit:- just seen it has no NCT, he won't get 200 for that!

Agreed, realistically it’s a Nct Fail away from the scrapper, but it is still lovely.

Had one of those for about a year a couple of years ago (Was actually an 03 too), bought it for €325, did about 50k km on it then scrapped it for €150. Wasn't the most comfortable yoke but can't deny that was good bangernomics!

I like the Yaris in general as they are easy to resell and have a very reliable engine. I bought one for 500 while my car was being repaired and sold it same day when my car was fixed.
