But people feel confident saying he's broke somehow without his taxes also ?? I mean even if the guy has lets say 5 million in the bank and is the president of the US I would still consider that to be "flourishing"
Its amazing how none of his political opponents seem to be able to stop or beat the biggest loser and doofus to ever walk upright.

I was never a fan of the man but the vitriol in which people attack him and try to literally equate him to hitler has actually made him into a bit of a sympathetic figure in my eyes, as mad as it sounds.
Well its made me sceptical of claims made about him anyway.
Which is surprising as I would have never thought I'd be of this opinion back in 2016.

You can tell his intelligence by the language he used but who cares if he is intelligent or not he tapped into a certain section of American society and in that way he was smart.

As for a successful business man, nobody knows how succesful he is because he wont release his returns. So I can claim to be a billionaire and no you cant see my bank account statement to prove it.

As for being a successful developer, it was shown that if he took the money his father gave him and invested in index funds i.e. doing nothing. he would be better off than what he would is reported to be now

What are you talking about? I am talking about all his properties and how much debt he has. For a guy who has a track record of racking up huge debt, who can say how much of his property is leveraged.

Nobody on this earth can, not even Trump himself. His assets (and business structure) are just too massive and diverse. The best anyone can do is rely on analysis and estimates of experts. It's not brain science.

If I were to hazard I guess I would say his net worth is probably around 200-300 million

There is no point debating his wealth as the full facts are not on display and thats the way he wants it evidently.

to be fair alot of credit has to go to Kelly Ann, she really played a stormer for him and he really had a good social media team behind him and his style struck a cord with a certain number of people.

I think thats the issue with him, its the reason he rubs people up the wrong way, his demeanor. He is not a pleasant guy and I am sure even his most ardent fans would admit to that but some people love that about him others hate it. If he sat quietly in the Oval Office going about his business his approval ratings would probably be much higher but he cant resist as he is a narcacist.

This thread shows how polarising he is, you either love him or hate him. The majority of Americans hate him evidently but due to Americas weird "democracy" that doesnt matter

The reason for that remark by AOC was to get to the etymology of the phrase, which is that it's physically impossible to do so. It's about the fact that not everyone can get ahead just by working hard, therefore it's as ludicrous to suggest as pulling oneself up by their bootstraps.
