Can someone please explain to me the reason why anyone would volunteer to go on this show. I've watched about half a dozen episodes from behind my hands out of pure morbid curiosity and it's still a head scratcher to me.

Imagine going into the office the day after you've gotten your todger / gee out on national TV and been judged in a slow car-crash reveal from arse to tit up?

Why would someone volunteer to go on this show? WHY?

I'm fairly comfortable in my own skin. I wouldn't volunteer to go on this show though because I'm not clinically insane.

I'd consider myself a fan of the female form but when its out in all its glory on national television i just cringe at the thought of the clowns that subject themselves to it for some unknown reasons, a good lot will regret it in years to come I'd imagine, great story for the grandkids though telling them about the time that granny suzie got the piss flaps out for the world to see

From the few episodes that I watched, most of them have a 1 night stand after the initial date. And then when they meet up few weeks later they reveal they no longer see each other.

A lot of them seem to be professionals of one type or another. I cannot imagine going into the office after being on the show, or client facing?

I remember Charlie Brooker taking the piss on Screenwipe years ago and was certain it would be a single season embarrassment (like most ch4 shows these days).

I think the Brits are a lot more fame and celebrity obsessed than us. For large swathes of British society celebrity culture is THE culture. Just look at how pervasive celebrity driven trends get over there. A friend was thinking of opening a cosmetic surgery practice over in Geordieland where he lives and works because he noticed how prevalent alterations popularised on reality TV were becoming. Morals have been the only thing holding him back.

To be bold enough to do that on national television would, in my opinion, generally require someone with a bit of heightened sense of self-worth. A bit of an ego, y'know? Someone who fancies the arse off themselves, basically.

In my limited experience of dealing with people like that, there is only ever enough room for one of those type of people in a relationship as there's only enough 'me, me, me' to go around. Pretty similar to the geordie shore / towie types going out with each other........Having one narcissist might be workable, but two people who are only interested in themselves is doomed to failure.

I find it amazing the amount of transgender and "non binary" types that they manage to get on the show. Seems way out of proportion with the general population...

Anyone who's worried about our long term future should stop and worry about our short term prospects.

As for NA, every time I scroll through it seems to feature a very very gay type - ie gagging for it. Do they try to mix demographic to the correct straight/gay proportion or is it just the sort of thing
