Microsoft security essentials

Hi All,

I've just setup a new PC with wondows 10 - I'vew insatlled microsoft security essentials. Would this suffice for all antivirus and spyware threats?

Or am I better off paying for a good antivirus?

I use Ms Security Essentials and Malwarebytes.

Also, always run as a non-admin user.
So you might have "sticker" and "stickeradmin" windows accounts.

Edit - Do I just install Malwarebytes or will there be a conflict with M/Soft sodtware and need to tell windows?

Is Malwarebytes free OK or best to use Pro? - Pro says it replaces antivirus...?

W10 comes with everything you need by default, why were you installing it seperately?
Even Malware bytes not really needed

Not for Windows 10 - if that installed OK it may cause problems with the inbuilt protection. You should remove it

Its not appearing in my add/remove prog list. The security tab is showing all green notifications...

So if I keep the default settings with windows 10, it should be sufficeint for a good security platform?

As others have said, if you've installed Windows 10, you don't need to install anything extra at all, it's built in to Windows itself now.

Microsoft security essentials was replaced with Microsoft Defender & is built into Windows 10.

It is plenty good for protection but if you add Malwarebytes too you are well covered.
