I feel genuinely sorry for anyone working retail. Went up to the Jervis there on lunch and JD sports was just full of junkies screeching and getting thick with the youngfellas working because they didn't have runners in their size.

Building the new PC and am going to play through both Witcher 3 expansions to put the rig under a nice bit of pressure.

Have you not played the expansions yet? They're both very good. I rarely finish games these days but managed to do every story mission in that game.

Nah I've completed the main story and a lot of the side quests. I've both expacs but havn't touched either.

They're both brilliant. Hearts of Stone is 10-15 hours of tight plot. The best bit of storytelling the Witcher has ever done.

Blood and Wine is essentially the main game in a new, exotic locale. It's the perfect denouement to the trilogy.

Better content than the main game imo, and the main game is pretty amazing itself.

I don't think I could ever commit to playing through them again though, you're easily looking at 120+ hours of content.

Surprised people don't work the Monday, it's not like there's anyone there to check up on you. I work from home when I want (which is mostly) and I've currently carried in 72 days holidays from last year.

I'm in Monday and Tuesday. Management are all off, all the PMs are off and we've no tasks assigned to us.

In Monday and watch Netflix in a meeting room, stroll in around 10 on Tuesday and be sent home at lunchtime. Saves me from taking an extra two days leave.

Doing a rerun myself. Very enjoyable. The first time I watched Seasons 1 to 3 I ended up going on to the books (well, audiobooks) straight after which are all excellent.

I've been rewatching the previous Star Wars movies in the lead up to Rise of Skywalker. The prequels are worse than I remember. They did an incredible job of making the Jedi out to be the most incompetent organisation around. From failing to see the growing Sith threat from right under their noses, to spectacularly mismanaging Anakin's problems. Telling him to ignore Padme and his love for her was the very thing that drive him to Palpatine.

And people say The Last Jedi ruined their mystique.

Major (minor) surgery, heating broke down in the house and we had to get a new boiler fitted. Washing machine broke down. Got up this morning and the valves in the hot press starting leaking in the middle of the night and the water had pìssed through the living room ceiling and left a swimming pool on the living room floor. Herself and the eldest 2 are in bed with the flu...and did I mention my granny passed away on Wednesday night and is being buried tomorrow.
