Ryan Reynolds has revealed that his Michael Bay-directed feature 6 Underground will debut on Netflix on December 13.
The Deadpool star joked that it would be coming to a “mailbox near you” with a picture of an old Netflix DVD envelope.
The plot details on 6 Underground have been largely kept under wraps, but it is set to follow six billionaires who form a vigilante squad after faking their deaths in order to take down notorious criminals.
It sees Reynolds reunite with Deadpool executive producers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. The big-budget movie also stars Mélanie Laurent (Inglorious Basterds), Payman Maadi (A Separation), Corey Hawkins (BlacKkKlansman), Adria Arjona (Triple Frontier), Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (Sicario: Day Of The Soldado), Ben Hardy (X-Men: Apocalypse) Lior Raz (Fauda), and Dave Franco (Now You See Me)

Yeah this will only be on Netflix. I think they only release certain films in cinema for a limited time before releasing on Netflix so they can be eligible for Oscars and other awards

Perhaps, but it does seem like Bay has finally thrown off the tattered remaining pretence of art, and just embraced his pornographic enthusiasm for the trappings of wealth and status. It's not like his previous works hadn't contained copious leering over cars and military hardware, or weren't flooded with product placement. I daresay Netflix might get some of that budget back via the various brands on show.

Yeah some say it could be up to $200 million. Netflix agreed to spend nearly $200 million to make the Dwayne Johnson action movie “Red Notice,” which will be filmed next year at exotic locations and also stars Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot. So they are definitely spending crazy amount of money on movies

In contention for the worst movie I've ever seen. Self-indulgent nonsense with no redeeming features at all - it was like a top-10 list of the worst scenes in every Michael Bay movie.

Watched it then ended up as something in the background as not much else to watch

IF was say one hour and twenty minutes or so be passable, but these films do not need over two hours, maybe a mini series (as then is broken up) at a push

Watched this on Friday night, its absolutely awful.

The product placement was beyond hilarious, I think I spotted a Heinz ketchup bottle at one point and could feel my eyes rolling...

If you thought the jump cuts in Transformers were bad, the car chase at the start will drive you batty.

Really just emphasises why some directors need a lease kept on them as clearly Bay was allowed do whatever he wanted here.

Oh, nearly forgot about all the gun porn too. :rolleyes:

As an alternative to a love-in with Shane McGowan and Tubridy on Friday, I mostly enjoyed this as a piece of action nonsense.

I don't expect Martin Scorsese will be watching it, though plenty of people will have chosen this over The Irishman when offered the choice on the Netflix homepage.

Not an amazing movie but I was entertained. Some of set pieces were spectacular, and there were some horrific deaths.

The product placement was frequent and it's as dumb as a box or rocks alright but I'll admit to enjoying this with a takeaway pizza during a hungover evening on the couch.

It's disposable, fun, action. Like a Bond film with more graphic deaths.
