Aaaaaand by technical issue they mean one of Westairs Aztecs is currently being attended to by multiple fire appliances who have laid a blanket of foam down due to fuel leak from both wings after a runway excursion, potentially due to the nose gear collapsing! Pilot walked away from what I heard.

Very strange that they'd say "technical issues" in that case, it would be almost a blatant lie.

Closed until at least 18:25z according to air traffic control, light aircraft nose collapsed on runway (as above)

EI-DVM currently positioning ORK-LHR as EIN994 to operate this evening's EI387 LHR-SNN. EI386 SNN-LHR was cancelled.

EI-GXG positioning ORK-SNN as RYR585, looks like it'll operate a heavily delayed FR3327 to Krakow.

Nights like these are always the fun ones to fly Stobart, BHX to DUB had a go around and hold while the CFN flight landed. Similar size Saab 340A is having a go now.

Gusting to 38kts on the 11:30am METAR, making another approach, aircraft reported that it became unstable as the end of the shower pushed through.

No, sadly. Crosswind runway in Cork is for Stobarts etc only. Too short for jets.

Ryanair seems to be in fine.

Wind at 1pm was just 25kts no gusts, at 1:30 it was 23kts gusting 33kts, no significant crosswind, nothing severe enough to stop operations.
