It’s that time of year again...

Tis the season....

Christmas party season has well and truly begun

Was walking across baggot st few mins ago and a “well oiled” office group decked out in Christmas jumpers reindeer antlers etc messing with who I presume are their colleagues in cars (jumping out in front etc)

Great messing and joking blocking the street - cars beeping at them to get the fook off the road.

they are having a great laugh while everyone else looks on silently !

What’s the most outrageous Christmas party behaviour you’ve seen and what’s your attitude to it??

There's the official Christmas party and then there is the one I have with my own team. That gets pretty intense. I work with a bunch of nutters. I never go to the official party, too stuffy and boring.

5pm finish. Straight to the pub, watch racing at Dundalk. Meet up for the party at 7pm, meal and then be ABSOLUTELY SENDING IT.

Can't be holed to be honest. I work for a University where everything has to be as cheap as possible so I just don't think it's worth the evening. Same for the Christmas meal.

As a regular punter, this is my least favourite time of the year. The "ivy and holly" brigade start cropping up in the local, making a loud racket and larger splash when the drinks go flying everywhere. I lump them in same bracket as the dozen hoppers, ergo a complete waste of space.

Being in the army my units Christmas party is a pretty civilized affair.

Dinner (in uniform minus medals), the Christmas pudding is escorted by piper to the Commanding Officers tablet for his approval, he'll approve and salute it and the dinner beginners.

Sounds very formal but that's the military for you, after that its beers and banter in the mess and tbh I'm usually out of there by 21:00hrs.

Its a good day, we've a great CO who's great with the ol' speeches and making the lads feel good about a job well done in the last year and what might lay ahead in the following year.

The lads serving oversea's in the likes of Lebanon, Syria, Afghanistan etc are remembered as are past (and passed) members.

But that's the work do, then I've my Judo clubs party (which is a mad affair) with a collection of Judoka, wrestlers, grapplers of all kinds and a few MMA guys on the rip (last competition of the year is this Sunday so no one is watching their weight).

I just can’t drink after a feed, can’t fit in one drop. If I’m on the sauce I like my feeding out of a bag at 3am.

I'm at home hoovering up lines, getting ready to go out, meeting up at 8 with the lads, few pints before heading in to the party after the stupid games are over.

Not really, I'm planning to show up for an acceptable amount of time, before heading home. Noone is arsed for the party tonight, the christmas spirit just isn't there.
