Seven long months left of this year but 2020 gigs are starting to be announced and sold.

What's the capacity of Longitude?

The likes of Lovebox, Wireless, Paris Summer Jam, etc are all 40,000+ as far as I know (capacity; not sure if they sell out!) so they're probably among the biggest with Longitude.

Sure people would be complaining if people going to Longitude turned up at other festivals! :P wouldn't be my thing but yeah they know what their target audience want and usually sells so will continue as is!

I have to agree with this. My cousin is in their target audience and he has been delighted with the line up for the last few years.

Saltwater Festival will be taking place on the June Bank Holiday weekend in 2020 in the beautiful grounds of Westport House – one of Ireland’s best loved historic homes and estates.

The festival is run by the same people behind Sea Sessions and will showcase top International and Irish talent with over 60 acts playing across 3 stages.

Dermot Kennedy and Johnny Marr are set to headline Saltwater which will run from 29-31 May 2020.

They will be joined by a host of acclaimed international and Irish acts including Maverick Sabre, The Stranglers, Lyra, Lee Scratch Perry, Jerry Fish, Norman Jay, Joanne Keegan and Coda with many more to be announced over the coming months.

Day and Weekend tickets go on sale from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide and on ticketmaster.ie on Friday 13th December at 9am.

Re Coldplay
They could easily do an indoor only tour with this new album, much better environment for this new music. Last indoor tour they did was Viva La Vida i think. Am very impressed with this new album- lots of different styles.

Coldplay probably aren't touring because the new album is pretty different and experimental (by their standards) and would probably die a death when people just want the big singalong songs in stadiums.

Pearl Jam, well they've left several other countries out of their tour, and a few are only at festivals. Countries 10 times bigger than us get a single date. I don't think it's necessarily an Irish issue. Basically seems like they can't be arsed, and would rather just a short tour for maximum cash. They seem to be obsessed with money, no matter how much their diehard fans want to make excuses for them.

That Chris Martin from Coldplay sufferes badly with tinnitus thats why they arent touring i reckon i think they just said that it was cause they wanted to help the environment just for p.r cause all the shows promoting the album have been in quiet enough places i can imagine him having to do a 2 year tour suffering with that is agony for him

The Pearl Jam situation is ridiculous it's either an MCD problem or they just dont want to play here in general i cant see how it cant not be that cause its too much of a coincidence to ignore the place on every euro tour for the last 9-10 years. They have an issue with how ticketmaster is run over here ive heard but that cant be the problem cause eddie charges 100 a pop to see him sing with glen hansard in the 3arena like
