In the wwe corporate world I wonder how hard it is to get
to the big guns (Vince, Triple H, stephanie etc) ???

I would imagine theres teams below them who would deal with normal joe soaps matters

Vince prob has a bodyguard with him at all times

Jim Ross once said that one of his roles (at least during the 90s when he referred to this era) was to act as the go to guy when a wrestler had a problem. You would "never go to Vince directly first".

John Laurinaitis seemed to have the same type of additional role as many wrestlers referred to going to him first in the mid 2000s.

It appears that may have changed somewhat in recent years. Many wrestlers have stated going to Vince directly. Often having to wait hours outside his office in the arena. That said, surely it would still require some sort of process. Even if that process has changed from the past.

The one thing I always notice when they show Vince's office is that he has a dinosaurs head on the wall. Oh, I just googled it & HHH gave him it as a gift, with his tongue firmly in his own cheek I'm sure.

The more I think about it the more I feel the styles of wrestling matches are comparable to that of movies.

For example, if you look at a wrestler like Bret Hart. He was a masterful storyteller in the ring. A superb in ring technician, great in ring psychology, and could work with anyone. His matches are some of the best ever in wrestling and are considered classics. I would say Bret Hart matches are comparable to Martin Scorsese movies. Both Bret and martin are widely regarded as one of the most significant and influential in their art form, and are known for making masterpieces.

Then you have a wrestler like Ricochet. Known for his fast paced in ring action and acrobatic type style of wrestling. His matches would probably be more comparable to the like of the Fast and Furious movies. Those movies are fast paced action movies, which tend to focus on flashy cars and high speed chases, generally they tend to be over the top and somewhat ridiculous but they seem to make a lot of money because they draw in the casual fans. Richochet's style of wrestling wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea though.

Finally you've got a wrestler like Sandman. A wrestler who made his name in ECW who called themselves alternative wrestling. Sandman wasn't a particularly good wrestler, but he got away with it because of his character and his hardcore style of wrestling. His matches would be comparable to pornographies. He's basically a hardcore porn star.

Bit random this but sure this is what the thread is for.

Everyone remembers Legacy right? Randy Orton leading 2nd/3rd gen stars Cody Rhodes and Ted Di Biase.

Do you remember though when they briefly added Manu to the ranks, the son of Afa?

Or when they flirted with the idea of bringing in Jimmy Snuka's kid, the former Deuce. Then teased a story where Ted Di Biase was ejected while Manu and Sim Snuka didn't make the cut.

Then it looked like everyone was gonna turn on Randy for being too harsh.

When finally the original trio aligned in a ruse and beat down Snuka and Manu.

I always though they should have given the 2 outcast lads a chance of doing something together. Maybe play off their Islander heritage.

A long way to get a random thought across!

He had all the right elements to be. Young, who his father was and WWE was behind him. I don't think wrestling was for him to be honest. As soon as he left WWE in 2013 he had three matches accordingly. Once in 2013, another in 2016 and finally he retired after a match in 2017. He's only 37 so could still wrestle if he wanted to. Am sure somewhere like AEW would offer him something.

Outside of randy Orton I was the same. I mean he had the history being a third generation superstar through his dad and both his grandparents(that's got to be unique) and to just look at him he like randy Orton passed the eyeball test for me. He also showed he could go in the ring. It's a shame as in recent WWE history his dad was as naturally gifted a wrestler I've ever seen. The million dollar man had a great gimmick and could run rings around hogan and just savage in the ring.

There's a great card available on FITE next weekend from Warrior Wrestling. Minoru Suzuki/Tom Lawlor alone makes the price worth it, you also get Ospreay, Rocky & Red/The Rascalz, Cage/ELP and Archer/Pillman Jr., along with a Kurt Angle appearance.
