Media discussions on Christmas parties that refer to photocopiers, stationery cupboards etc. Nobody I know has ever had their party in the office / building where they work. They usually go to a pub, restaurant or hotel

Serious question though, nice Ralphie meme aside, do you know the difference between them or do you not really give a rats because it's just a forum? It's a very common one I see and I'd be genuinely interested to know. Not having a pop.

I haven't a clue really.
It simply doesn't go into my head.
If I have to write something formal. I'd research it. However if I was to research ever post I posted I'd be doing it forever.
You can get A's and B's in ordinary level English and not have a clue about them.
