It shouldn't have to be explained but the reason that politics and climate has become so intertwined is because society looks to the politicians to enact laws for the betterment of this and future societies. It took legislation to come in to place to bring about a ban on plastic carrier bags, it took legislation to bring about a ban on smoking in the workplace. I know you are a fan of the capitalist ideals as purported by Donald Trump but many many people would recognize there is nothing in that behaviour which suggests sustainability is going to happen.

To have the issue talked about in a sensible manor i think we need to work at de coupling the political agenda from it.

It's pure bollox, as long as she isn't chartering a private jet what is the issue with her taking occasional flights. Once on the continent she can use rail but having to bend over backwards to prove a point is stupid.

We need to stop pumping human **** into our rivers and beaches before we even think about anywhere else. We're recovering from a friggin ice age of course the planets going to warm and there's sweet fa Pascal and his taxes can do about it. 2/3 degrees will do Ireland no harm over the next couple of thousand years. Greta should be in school, she's a lot to learn yet.
