So They merger Eir and meteor for efficiency and then decided to setup a new one?

I just signed up for their Sim only plan a few weeks ago. Got it at €9.99 for 12 months as I renewed my broadband at the same time. Probably make sense to switch to this because of the "for life" element.

I've signed up... already on Eir, so not a big move. Data is throttled to 10mb/sec, but my work phone gets less than 4mb/sec on Vodafone anyway...

No it’s not. They have to state that. All other providers do the same.

Anyone know how this compares to out of plan rates of an Eir Sim Only plan? I'm on the €25 10Gb plan they recently got rid of.

Curious to know their roaming and date rates Vs Eir's pricing.

It's €9.99...and it's in plain view when you order a Sim.
It's in the FAQ's under "joining and getting started".

They don't try to hide it somewhere, so that you would only see it after purchasing the Sim.

edit; It does appear to be just a Sim purchase charge....under a different name. I think nearly all the Mobile Operators in Ireland are charging for a new Sim now.

The sim will be useable straight away if getting a new number. It might take a short amount of time to port your number over.

Eir Mobile broadband customers stuck paying €30 for max of 50GB (+€15 top up every time you watch Netflix)!

MOGO €10 for 80GB looks attractive in contrast. But will we be able to use MOGO sim in an eir broadband router without getting throttled?

GoMO confirmed to me that the 45,000 minutes is per month.

It really is a cracking deal. I'm have my sim and just waiting until November to port over. How have people been finding the reception? Any issues with speeds?

Can people using the GoMO network with an email address on the @eircom.ie domain connect their e-mail client such as Outlook or Android Mail to the eircom email server ?

There should be no issue with incoming mail so long as your settings are correct. The issue might be with sending mail as the Eir SMTP server might not recognise your GoMo as being on its network . You could of course simply connect to Eir webmail through your mobiles browser and work from there .
