has anyone come across this. currently waiting on my new insurance cert to be issued as normally would have it several days before it expires to be told that they no longer issue them in advance adn the day after my policy expires the new one will be posted out.

Must be. Mine is up for renewal next month so I will have to find a place to print it off.

they will post it out to you, just wont post it a week or two in advance as they have always done.

Bank of Ireland insurance, IIRC rebadged RSA.

Another thing is since these types are allowed it's much harder to tell a fake.

Colour printer is a must as the green band on.thr side is a legal requirement.

I thought insurance discs were also meant to be white. Axa and Aviva are blue.
I think I've seen discs without the green band also while walking past on the street.

I always have to trim away the green strip for it to fit in the disc holder.

What's peoples views on mudflaps normally have them on my cars. Golf doesn't have them and I am undecided about getting them obviously they do a job but think the car probably looks better without them.

Had no mudflaps on mine, installed for obvious reasons.

It's your car after all, so do what you want. If you like the look - keep them, if you don't - rid of them.

No need for them on the rear but can understand why fitted at the front.

High end cars I honestly think it should be a criminal offence to fit them though...

Afaik VW dont do contoured flaps to suit the GTi or R. Maybe they're available online?

Possibly could be right. I seen these and assumed they were for it. But when you look in details says GTI <2017 I.e. Mk7.0 only.

I find the mudflaps good for stopping stones chipping the leading edges of doors,have mine slightly outward of arches to avoid it,personally I think their nice,make your own mind up.
