Heavy shower now in Cork City but other then that was a dry morning so far, bit breezy around 14 degrees

lots of water logging in our garden and driveway after last night's downpours. Tomorrow looks a very wet day indeed with more heavy rain and a risk of spot flooding once again, especially in the southern half of the country.

Looking at it here in East Wicklow,currently looks like rain from 11am to about 4 or 5pm which wouldn't be too bad

Really lovely day out here in the wide Atlantic.. sunny at times, a small breeze and the most glorious sky scapes...One of the things I love most here; the clouds.. shapes, colours, just glorious ... tide low and sands exposed...

Following on from my previous post where cork airport was at 46mm for the month of September, it’s now at 71 so there was about 25mm of rain or so possibly more locally. More to come with another yellow warning now

After being at 64mm for September Sligo town now at 103mm after 39mm yesterday and severe flooding in Leecarrow and Doorley Park areas

Astoundingly enough the rainfall for other stations nearby

Claremorris 4mm
Belmullet 1mm

Must have been a very localised thunderstorm but I was asleep and missed the event. Did anyone else in Sligo witness it? There are photos on facebook on Sligo County Council page of some of the flooding

Lovely day in Donegal again with good sunny spells, looking at the radar we've been fortunate though to narrowly miss a washout of a day.

Has been a good second half of September here, plenty of rain but almost all of it has fallen overnight with most days having some sunshine

lovely afternoon too, the Dunshaughlin Harvest festival did well considering the forecasts leading up to this weekend, and managed to avoid most of the daytime rain.

Lovely bright day in Kerry after all the rain yesterday, recorded about 25mm here yesterday and another 2mm overnight.

Torc waterfall in Killarney had a great flow coming off it today, haven't heard it that loud in a long time and there was a bit of spray coming off it.

it's going to be some time before I can cut the lawn again (cut it last Saturday before this very unsettled period began). Today our lawn is like a swamp, and there is another 15 to 30mm forecasted for tomorrow, followed by showers and more rain all through the week and into next weekend.

Dunsany has recorded almost 95mm of rain this month, most of that has fallen since last Saturday. If another 16mm falls between now and tomorrow before midnight, September will be the 2nd wettest month of the year overtaking March. Unlikely to beat August's rainfall total this month.

Yeah thats close to what iv'e recorded from last saturday night, the soil is still ok here, can drive the mower on it, but no real need, there wasn't much growth since i cut it on wednesday
