It is luck, but you also make your luck.

If you keep doing the right things, the right results come.

City attackers are great to own for obvious reasons. But the non-obvious reason is that if a star name doesn't start, unless City are struggling, they won't come on. It happened every time Sterling was rested last season I think.

If you captain City, if you make sure you've a decent 1st sub and VC, you often have a good chance of doing ok.

I say that as an Aguero (c) and KDB owner who has Lundstram unlikely to come on as first sub.

Sterling/KDB owners are the biggest long term winners today. Likely got a beautiful VC return, and have a rested Sterling in their pocket for next week, while loads sell, causing him to become more of a differential.

About 50% of fantasy football players aren't real football fans

They're playing work leagues and friends leagues and then you have the ones who play only for team value so selling sterling now reaps the reward of making 0.1 on him and hoping he'll drop twice
