Folk have been saying that Jesus will get more minutes for a couple of seasons now - it's clear that Pep doesn't trust him that much, City are already 5 points behind Liverpool, city can't afford to continuously slip up and so the best team will be played. Sterling has equally as much chance coming off and be protected when they are 3-0 up as Aguero does. Pep would probably want to keep Phil Foden happy but that doesn't mean he throws his on when they are winning 4-0 against Brighton for instance

If you were to ignore the first game of the season, would you still think that Sterling would be so highly owned? Sterling's ownership is over 1.5x that of Aguero which is mind blowing, giving that he has only return one monster score so far this season. Aguero has scored in every game and had 2 double digit scores. Salah/Mane/KdB/even Dilva all have more double digit scores than Sterling has. His form per FF rules is 3.2 points.

Sterling could score big but his returns bar the first game of the season have actually been poor when presented with the facts.

Sterling will still be getting the clean sheet points this year so you cant discount that fact. Also going on last season sterling has less chance of being substituted early than aguero. Aguero averaged 75 mins per PL appearance last year whereas Sterling averaged 82 mins per PL appearance. Id expect agueros min per appearance to drop this year as he is older and they have a direct replacement in Jesus to keep happy .
If I was picking for this GW Id have been on aguero but I think the sample size of 5 or 6 weeks is too small so far this year to assume aguero will be a better option over sterling for the next 10 or so gws.
As I said earlier Id have preferred aguero over sterling today but id be prepared to let this play out a little bit longer before deciding what to do.

Exact same with my team but hoping vice captain Pukki gets a chance to make it a good game week and Lundstram comes in for a Zinchenko with a good score as well. Abraham outscoring Kane would also be nice. At 3million overall rank so lots of improvement possible.

The good thing for Sterling owners is he's highly unlikely to come on if they're not struggling, and if they're struggling, other City options for others are struggling.

The early goals should help with Sterling not getting on, hopefully they picked up a couple of injuries to use up some subs. Normally I wouldn't wish injuries on players other fpl managers have but I have Sterling (c) and zinc here so feeling a bit bitter!
