They are a serious team who have been desperately unlucky to meet that Corofin team. They meet each other in the QF stage this year and while I expect Corofin to win, Mountbellew could run them close again.

Drake has never really featured and apparently was roasted by Gary Boylan in a club game recently. Crowe always did what was needed when he got time on the pitch but obviously hasn’t had that in a while and if he hasn’t then there is a reason. Diskin is a bit of a surprise that he’s been cut already, but when he did get a game this year (I recall he came on as a sub in one game but I can’t recall which) he had next to no impact on the game. If those lads that are incoming can show a bit of what they have promised then I would not be too concerned by the departures either.

To be fair the fella that is supposed to have resigned has been saying for a good while that he would be retiring from the Board at some stage, first time I heard that was 2 years ago, so it’s probably not that surprising. Mind you there’s another lad on that board that we could probably do without, but that’s for another day.
