Which he did! An inspirational father figure!

One guy invented having a girlfriend and was telling eveyone about their upcoming wedding. He then announced she was expecting, went on some leave, sent in pics of baby that were circulated on our weekly newsletter. A few of his colleagues suspected something was off, google image reversed the pic of the baby and it was clearly robbed off the internet. He admitted then it was all lies, ended up in pysciatric care. Came back after a few months and got a promotion!

He looked at me a bit strangely and the manager just said he had never known that. A few days later the guy goes out for lunch leaving his phone, jacket and other usual stuff on desk and doesn't return. People are a bit miffed but assume he will come in the next day.He doesn't come in the next day so the boss is worried and decides to ring the Gardai and reports him as missing. Gardai ring back an hour later to say he isn't missing. The company write to him and ask him to come in and try and sort out what ever is up. No reply. After about a month they pack up all his stuff and send it to his house with his P45. I stay working there and about a year later the secretary get a call to talk to the boss from a person with a name very close to a well known sci fi character. She recognized the voice and ask was it comic book guy and he says it is. So he rang to get a reference. Talking to a guy in a new job some years later and he tells me a story about a guy who worked there doing similar and also named after a comic character. He describes the same guy. Now just to say this was before the "Catch me if you can " film but he must have read the book.
