They were a man up 2 weeks ago and still couldn't get the ball over the bar. Saying that's Dublin's fault is pure deflection.

They're they most talented team with the most money and the greatest population and all the other blah blah advantages people point out. They're still taken to task regularly. Look at the Connaught championship. It's been Roscommon and Galway in the final every year for the last 4. Munster, it's Kerry and Cork for 6 of the last 7 years. Kerry won them all. Donegal has been Ulster senior championship final for 8 of the last 9 years. The same counties dominating their respective championship is nothing new. If people are getting bored of Dublin winning, then how are they not bored of the same counties getting to provincial finals every year for the last decade?

In every sport it’s pretty much accepted that some teams are better than others. In GAA traditionally it’s been Cork, Kerry, Tipp, Kilkenny... but there’s only ever a problem when the Dubs are going through a purple patch. I’ve never heard an argument that the All Blacks are destroying rugby cos they’re so good, or that Brazil in their heyday destroyed soccer or that Tiger ruined golf. What Dublin are achieving is completely unsustainable, Dublin will drift back into the pack, but until then why don’t we just try and enjoy the greatest Gaelic football team of all time?

ClanofLams wrote: » I mean who could deny that?!
Yes, the same infiltration in the county as every other county had prior for their size. So it's fair, for the potential playing numbers, that Dublin gets much higher funding. Whether it's gone too far - I actually doubt that as GAA is not popular everywhere in Dublin and has yet to get a foothold in certain areas. Fundamentally those complaining are looking for Dublin to be treated unfairly simply due to it's population size. But that's a gamble for the GAA who would be putting at risk their penetration in the largest potential market for their game. I don't know what the solution is to be honest.

Dublin winning five in a row men’s football Dublin women going for three in a row tomorrow Dublin hurlers improving from getting hidings against Westmeath to beating Galway Cuala winning back to back club all Irelands when no Dublin club had won a Leinster before Dublin under twenty/21 having their best decade ever These things are all coincidentally happening fifteen to twenty years after massive resources were pumped in and a ridiculous financial disparity was created. I mean who could deny that?!
bennyl10 wrote: » Becuase none of those other teams who dominate are given a huge advantage, up front, by the organizing body. So much more funding from a central body, and every game at home? Only the Dubs get that advantage. Can’t compare them to any others.
