Important question: what's the correct way to spool a toilet roll?

Never mind all that Brexit malarkey: time to solve a genuine conundrum.

My other half and I are like Jack Sprat and his oul' wan: not able to agree on anything important. Like should the bog roll be put on the spindle so that it dispenses in a clockwise (ie the loose end is nearer to you on the throne than the spindle itself) or anticlockwise (the loose end is behind the spindle from your vantage point) direction?

Never mind which of us prefers which but I have noticed that she actually CHANGES the orientation after I KNOW I replaced the roll last time from the way I prefer it to the wrong way.

Which is the correct way?

Also had this issue with ex-friend. She preferred roll to be dispensed from far side, closer to wall, whereas I preferred to pull roll from front. I maintain that full frontal roll gives better attuned, more welcoming and voluminous appearance. She worried that roll would appear more abundant than it is.

Well, the patent is loose end to the outside, and your descriptions are not great, as the directions are the reverse depending on if the roll is to your left or right.

Ever happen to you that your in a friends house and ****e must of getting on their hand as their **** stains on the sides of the toilet roll? Usually left the toilet roll on top of the cistern

Happened before to me as well in a public toilet where someone shoved their **** into the plastic toilet roll holder.

I Carry around a small pack of hankerchiefs now

Problem with the frontal roll is that the roll rubs off the wall when you pull the paper - this can cause unintentional tearing. When the end is on the inside you pull the roll away from the wall with the sheet.

Wut? What animalistic way are you pulling the roll? I've never had unintentional tearing when using it the right way.

But another thing, from experience, flattening out the roll does stop kids from taking a 100metre length to wipe their nether regions.

Loose end out front. I go to the trouble of correcting it in other peoples houses if I encounter it the wrong way. It’s like seeing a dog with its ear folded back. You have to fix it.

In my younger days we did not have that problem in our local pub. The publican used supply pages of the Sunday World cut in quarter size. Used be some very interesting reading except you might be reading Pub Spy but then the next quarter sheet would be Jimmy Magee or a quarter picture of some dolly bird
