Constantly reaching my data limit of 80GB

It’s routine at this point that I get a text saying I’ve used 80% of my monthly allowance.

I’m with Eir

I don’t do anything different to others.
I watch YouTube videos on 480p unless I’m on the home WiFi.
I use Reddit and I browse the web.
Spotify, Snapchat etc etc.

I supposedly have 80GB and I almost always use it.
Everyone’s telling me that’s madness!

What am I doing wrong? Beyond being with Eir and their scummy marketing?

On Android, you can check how much data apps are using in the network settings. That night help you figure out what is causing it.

Must be a problem...I'm with 3 unlimited and I never ever use wifi. The most I've ever used in a month is 33gb and that was me on YouTube flat out and the kids playing games etc on the phone.

80gb is roughly 160hrs of you tube so a bit over 5hrs a day every day of watching videos.
You either need therapy or go to 3. Eir's billing system is straight out of a sceince fiction movie.

Send the words “data balance” to 50104 to check you balance with Eir.

It should confirm you have “x data used from an allowance 80gb”

There is no way you are using 80 HB of mobile. I use my phone a lot and 15-20 is all I get through.

Ten Pin

On android, data usage total for month available in settings.

Also, scroll down in 'Data Usage' to see how much data each app has used.

Have you checked usage in 'my eir' portal to see if the peak usage matches actual use.

Are you on the new “no limits” plan? If so how slow is the network once u exceed 80gb

Damn that is a lot on a phone, my home BB usage last month was 90GB and I download a lot of tv and stuff, my vote for pornhub as well!

I barely go over 1 or 2 GB out of 15 with eir and I wouldn't consider myself a particularly light user.
