I see where there is a gigantic pile of pallets stacked up in an estate in Portadown which the fire service regard as a 'serious health and safety risk'. Apparently 30+ firms have been approached to remove/dismantle it but nobody will touch it. One things for certain if that was some years ago in a nationalist area the British army would be steaming in like a flash to dismantle it and anything else that was in its way.

I find this a wee bit unbelievable. I really am pinching me self.
I use abbreviations of the two anthems in the same sentence gstq and ss and it seems it is offensive to shorten the soldiers song to abbreviations (I think - still not completely sure if that is the issue mind you seem to have confused some southerners to)
Just be clear with me. Is this the issue? Is this a bit like Americans find it offensive if their flag touches the ground yet you can use my flag as a beach towel and it’s no prob.

I think the consensus here anyhow downcow is that you aren't kidding anyone.

Somebody who defends the right of (and who would happily teach his children) somebody to engage in provocation and bigoted taunting is not somebody to be believed when he wants to come across as a reformer of the bigotry within NI soccer elements.

Oh grand and believe me I'm not for one second spouting an orange position but I thought a soldiers song was the english translation of amhran na fiann. It's just that downcow seems to think that using that term belittles our anthem when I wouldn't have thought that
