Best Horror Movie Ever - Voting and Results Thread

As opposed to gladrags for the last contest, the attire for this one will be slightly different.

We have people donning their best wrappings....

Shuffling to their seats with loud, audible moaning....

A few are even in fancy dress!

Competition will begin at 1pm, so until then get comfy and discuss all things Horror!

The Rules:

16 first round matches
Pick one of the movies and decide which you prefer. Give a reason. Movies where no reason are given won't be counted. All valid posts will be thanked.
First to 6 points, with two clear points ahead goes through to the next round. Depending on volume of voters/contributors, this may increase exponentially by 2 votes each round.
One vote per player per match.
Anyone can vote, even if you hadn't submitted your entries.
Ties will be decided by the vote of the organiser, if deadlocked for a considerable period (where no votes have been made in 15 minutes).

And a final note on the mechanics:

Top 8 movies have been seeded to avoid playing off against each other in the first rounds.
Other 24 movies have been randomised.
Match order has been randomised (ie, you won't necessarily see the Seed 1 in the first match)

but i used google to select horror movies, and all the ones i picked were in the horror google selecion that appeared. So blame google if they are not horror movies in your opinions.

I was joking, kinda. It wouldn't be on my list of best horrors, but there is something that disturbs me about it. It's not the adrenaline thrill of a scare or a slow build unsettledness of a thriller... I'm more disturbed that someone came up with that (and got funding to film it).

the descent, for a lesson on teamwork and camaraderie, this is not the film to hold high praises for.
every bitch is for themselves in this flick, dont try and count on your sister, she'll stab u in the back first chance she gets.

Definitely better than I remembered it. I sourced Lost Boys so that's Monday night sorted for me ( working tomorrow unfortunately)
