My triton t90xr electric shower has come to an end so need to replace it and looking for recommendations as to what is best and easiest shower installation wise to replace it with

I had my Mira replaced a while back with the Triton t90sr after following another thread on here about showers. Definitely a great shower.

Read commissioning instructions carefully before power up.
Straightforward but easier do it by the book.

Re problems with a very small number of TCO problems with the T90SR, you mentioned about a year ago in a different thread that some TCOs were taking up to a hour or more to reset, is this with the water flowing through the shower or just natural cooling down?. My shower takes between 45 and 60 mins for the TCO to reset "normally" but will reset within 10 secs if the shower is turned on.

The TCO issue is with all electric showers but as the vast majority of electric showers sold in Ireland are Triton showers you hear more about those. The issue with faulty TCOs is that it could take an hour of more to reset even when the shower is running cold water. These are genuinely faulty TCOs. It's perfectly normal for it to take 10 to 15 seconds to reset when running cold water.

Electric is handy at short notice.
More to go wrong with electric obviously.
Personally, I'd stick with electric unless you have pretty much 'always available' hot water but thats a non professional opinion.

Aqualisa is very over priced imo. They fail much more often than a triton or mira power of & they are expensive to repair. If you are g to that expense then a dedicated 3 bar pump & a mixing valve are bet value & even more possible than the Aqualisa

New silent Triton power shower being launched in a few weeks might be worth looking at

EDIT Big advantage with aquastream over triton & mira is it's low voltage. You can't electrocute yourself if you tried

Stick in a power shower beside the electric shower. It's a shame to waste the free hot water from the solar
