In British Columbia, there is at the present moment 16 “human rights” complaints, launched by a single person who asserts the status of “trans woman” against (mainly immigrant) female cosmeticians who — from religious sensibilities, reasons of safety, or simple personal preference — refused that person’s demand for a Brazilian waxing of their male genitals.

Ricky Gervais has jumped in to help..

It’s difficult being a schizophrenic too but we don’t tell those people to cultivate as many voices as they wish or embody whichever one of those voices they identify with. As I said earlier, removing gender “confusion” from

No. There's (rightfully) widespread acceptance. This has unfortunately lead to a handful of deviants fraudulently latching onto the culture to put themselves in a position to get their rocks off in a manner that wouldn't normally be allowed in society.

This is a huge developing issue that the larger trans community needs to get a handle on. Expose the perverts who are using your way of life and identity to do ****ed up stuff.

The anorexia analogy is apt. Anorexia is also a body dysmorphia, but we don't validate that by telling anorexics that, yes indeed, they do look fat. Counselling and CBT are the treatment, not medical experiments on children that will leave them sterile.

If self-ID is to be taken as a legitimate means of determining one's gender, then is there any limit on how many one can switch? Can a guy transition to a woman, then back to a guy the week after and so on and so forth. If self-ID is the be all and end all, isn't this logically the case?

Here is another question you will probably ignore. A woman who is a rape victim no longer feels that she can attend the women only session at her local gym since they changed their rules to allow self-id trans women. She gets panic attacks even at the thought of being in a situation where she may see a stranger's penis. Do you think that she has lost some rights?

To be fair the gender fluid people (I’m not using special names even if they have them) aren’t too bad - they don’t want to force themselves or their identities on to everyone else - in comparison trans are positively toxic in their online and social interactions.

That's the ideal scenario, everyone can be what ever they want when ever they want.
My insurance is up in September I'll give it a try hopefully they don't look for my gender identity cert.

They transferred a man to a woman's prison this week here as she identified as a female. The state is definitely not transphobic, we issue men and women passports of their chosen identity.

Here if you've a penis, a set of balls and the XY chromosome yer a man. We can pretend/accommodate but that's it. Anything else is pretense. A trans person in 10,000 years time when dug up by archaeologists will be identified as their born sex.

I think this topic will always go in circles while the topic of child welfare is linked to it.

Unfortunately it already a topic people are uncomfortable with especially with the self id and how in other countries the transition around 12/13. Add on top of that then you get individuals like this, or like the trans activist in the UK stepping away from the ISPCC job, or like the person who won a bike race and was instructing children to find their fairy families.

It makes for threads like this.

That's not catered for in the Gender Recognition Act, assuming you're asking about Ireland. Switching back and forth constantly is not allowable, besides once a person switches gender legally they are obliged to change everything else legally with every other state/private institution otherwise they break the law.

Whatever you are born as, is what you are. If you are born male/female, you die male/female. If you are born a hermaphrodite, you die a hermaphrodite. If you are born genderless, you die genderless. What you are is defined as how you are born, WHO you are is your choice to decide.

We do not have the natural ability to change what we are. You can undergo all sort of bodily mutilations you wish to make yourself look whatever you like. Feel free to live your life however you see fit. But don't expect everyone to lay back and accept your word as 'gospel' just because you say so. It's absolute insanity. Label me however you want, transphobic, whatever, but you are as nature intended you, whether you like it or not.
