In fact, the plastic stand was supplied with the 2nd Gen Nest, it was no more than a piece of moulded plastic, a euros worth. I see now they're charging €40 for the same. Plenty of inexpensive alternatives, and some really nice stainless steel ones on eBay for half the price. Virtually all the other HW control enabled smart stats only allow timing schedules for HW, temperature control, if at all, is done by the mechanical cylinder stat. I can't think why you would want a range of temperatures for your HW taps, generally 55 to 65 is the temperature set on the cylinder stat, and this won't be exceeded unless your cylinder is heating due to CH calls and the boiler water temperature is set much higher than your HW cylinder stat. Again this is not that likely, most boilers will be set to about 60-70 degrees for the water circulating through the rads and through the HW cylinder coil.

With the new cylinders, what you don't use stays hot for days, so low are the losses, so there's little to be saved by trying to replicate heating on demand, which is what timing was all about. Best way to actually save on HW is to take cold showers, but I like the idea of set once and forget. No tinkering with timers, stats, boost buttons, that's sooo 80's darling!!
